The Art of Roman Reyes

As a Mexican national and migrant farm worker child, Roman understands the difficulty in fitting into a school system which can leave the gifted, artistic, or sometimes just "different" child behind. A gentle man, Roman finds time to spend with his students at Phoenix College and is a frequent speaker at schools through the Phoenix area where he is a role model to the Hispanic youth community.

Phoenix College students look forward to Halloween each year when Roman performs a live demonstration in his Airbrush Techniques class creating lavish and imaginative makeup effects on a volunteer or model.

Roman was the speaker as an "invitation only" event held in the Digital Hub and sponsored by DMI - Digital Media Intelligence. Roman's irrepressible style and singular experiences as a member of WETA workshop in New Zealand made for an exciting evening as a standing room only crowd as well as the local media and press turned out to hear him.

A frequent speaker at area Middle and High schools, Roman seeks to encourage students to continue with their education. From poverty to the movie set of one of the most sucessful film ventures of all time, education was the key that unlocked the door to Roman's success.

An accomplished public speaker Roman is available for events and activites that benefit the arts, culture, and community connections throughout the world.
